About

I’ve noticed that people are always getting things wrong, sayings, grammar, movies, tv even the history our teaches tell us. This is the place to find out once and for all; what’s what.

You never know what interesting tidbits you might find on this blog. Please feel free to send me ideas of commonly misused words, sayings, or historical stories. I also have an entire category devoted figuring out where our most commonly used figures of speech started. For instance, do you know how “I don’t give a damn” got started? Check out my “etymology” category.

What if the only requirement to get into heaven is, in fact, good grammar?
You should all be thanking me for trying to save your eternal souls from damnation!

Well, Grammar Wench, I haven’t met him as yet, Mr.Grammar I mean, so it’s with great trepidation that I voice my liking for your poetry. (The word ‘trepidation’ is the reason why I write in English, I can use it now and then! Oh, forgot to tell you, I am not a natural to the tongue.)

Anyway congrats, all of those posts on September 2 were nice. In fact I could not believe my eyes, never thought a grammarian could write verse. That is as impossible as the sky to have roots. You are an exception to the general rule. They were very nice verses too. That confirms your guilt, you are no grammarian.

Well even if you are, come to my site and enjoy my terrible writing.

I’m glad to have found your blog. Ever since the Grammar Lady passed away we need someone who cares about keeping us informed about issues of grammar.

    Do you have her book?

    • LA Clark says :

No, I don’t have her book this is the first I have ever heard of her. I will keep an eye open for it.
